Which location pages you need, and what goes on them.

Enter what you do and the suburbs you serve. Get a list of pages, one per suburb, with a title, a URL, and the five things each page has to say to rank.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

What you do, and where you do it.

Build the pages you can back up.

  1. 01Only make pages for suburbs you actually work in

Google can tell. So can a customer who calls.
  2. 02Write each page differently

A page that swaps the suburb name and keeps everything else is a page Google ignores.
  3. 03Link them from your services page and your footer

If nothing links to them, they don't exist.

Honest answer: location pages work when they're real. Most aren't.

A page for each suburb you serve is one of the most reliable ways for a local business to rank beyond its home town. It works because someone in Lennox searching 'carpenter Lennox Head' wants a page about Lennox Head, not Byron.

It fails when the pages are copies. Ten pages with the suburb name swapped is worse than no pages. Every page needs one thing that's only true there.

Not sure which suburbs are worth a page? That's the kind of thing The Straight Answer works out.

Questions people ask.

How many suburbs?

The ones you actually drive to for work. Usually five to fifteen. Not the whole region.

What about towns where I've never had a job?

Skip them until you have. A page with no proof is a page with no ranking.

Is my information stored?

No. Runs in your browser.
